- Rates include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Unlimited Mileage, Full Comprehensive, and Portuguese VAT at 20%. Personal Accident Insurance is not included. (See below for details under: 2.0). By mutual agreement with all the Portuguese Car Hire Companies it is essential to sign and leave a Credit Card Slip to rent one of our cars. Although CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is included, in the event of an accident, vandalism, robbery or bad treatment of the car, the client should pay up the following list of excess:
Group A, B and C - €750,00
Group F, G and J - €2.000,00
Other groups - €1.000,00
- If the client want to eliminate this deductible should pay an insurance (called Super CDW) in the amount €7,50 per day for Groups A, B and C; €10,00 per day for groups D and E, and €15,00 per day for others groups which is paid directly by client when receiving the vehicle.
- The SCDW it`s only activated for rentals for more than 4 days.
- Rentals of 8 days or more are PRO-RATA at the 7 days rate.
- One rental day is considered a 24 hours period. There is a tolerance of 2 hours difference between delivery and return. If this 3 hours tolerance is exceeded one extra day will be add to the rental agreement.
- Across border rentals available with an extra charge of €30 per rental.
- Roof racks are not available.
- Baby/Child seats are available ON REQUEST and at a charge of €2,50 per day.
- OUT OF HOURS (20:00 until 08:00) Delivery or Collection for an additional charge of €15,00
- PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (P.A.I). Additional personal Accident Insurance is available for €2,50 per day and per car that covers the following:
1. €14.963,93 per person for death or permanent incapacity
2. €1.496,39 per person for medical cares and repatriation.
- Car type show represents the main vehicles offered in each groups. Similar type vehicles but from different manufacture may be supplied at commencement of rental.
- A full driving license must be produced by each driver, and must have help it for a minimum of one year and be at least 21 years old.
- In the event of an accident, if the driver has been drinking alcohol, in accordance with Portuguese Law, the driver will be required to pay the cost of any damage incurred.
- The rental company is not obligated to replace a flat tyre.
